The short answer

What is spring cleanup?

Spring cleanup clears the loose mess left in the yard after winter. We offer leaf pickup, branch pickup, lawn raking and debris hauling. Tell us what has built up and where you want help.

What we can clear

Leaves can sit in low spots. Loose twigs and branches can gather along fences. Old grass may lie flat under that layer.

Our spring cleanup includes leaf pickup, branch pickup, lawn raking and hauling debris away, with the areas and amount of work agreed in your quote. You do not need to guess a package. Describe the yard as it is.

  • Leaves on the lawn or gathered at its edges.
  • Loose branches that need to be picked up.
  • Lawn areas that need raking.
  • Debris from the agreed cleanup to be hauled away.

Take a slow walk around the yard

Once you can see the ground, make a short list. Notice what needs clearing and what may need other work. You can send that list with your request.

  1. Look along the edges

Check fence lines and the sides of paths. Note leaf piles and loose branches.

  2. Look at the lawn

Note flat grass, bare patches and spots that stay wet. A cleanup can reveal a problem; it may not fix its cause.

  3. Check the way in

Tell us about gates, steps and things that block the work area.

  4. Choose the main job

Say if you want only a cleanup or also want lawn care. We can discuss the work together.

Let soft ground firm up

Wet soil can be pressed down by feet and equipment. Raking hard too soon can also be rough on tender grass. The state of the ground matters more than a date on the calendar.

Tell us if the yard is still soggy. Timing should suit the job and ground. Do not assume the first warm day means every part is ready.

What a cleanup can show you

Once debris is out of the way, it is easier to see thin grass or worn spots. You may find the lawn only needs regular care. You may have a patch that needs more help.

We also offer mowing, edging, fertilizing, weed control, aeration and power raking. These are separate lawn care services to discuss. Lawn raking in a cleanup is not a promise of power raking.

If the grass needs a fresh start, ask about sod. It is fine to wait until the ground can be seen before choosing more work.

Give us a clear view of the cleanup

A few leaves and a full yard of debris are different jobs. Tell us which areas to work on, how much has built up and if there are large branches.

Mention waste other than leaves and branches. Do not assume all kinds of waste can go with a yard cleanup. Ask what can be hauled before the job is agreed.

If you have already made piles, note where they are. If the debris is spread out, tell us that instead. You do not need to rake the yard just to request a quote.

Spring Cleanup questions

Ask about your property
Do you pick up leaves and branches?

Yes. Both are part of our spring cleanup offering. Tell us how much there is and mention any large branches.

Is lawn raking available?

Yes. Lawn raking is included in our cleanup work. Confirm the lawn areas in your quote.

Do you haul debris away?

Yes. We offer hauling for the agreed cleanup debris. Ask about any other waste before the job.

Is power raking the same as cleanup raking?

No. Power raking uses a machine and is a lawn care service. Ask for it by name if you want to discuss it.

Can you work while the ground is still wet?

The ground needs to suit the work. Tell us if it is soggy so timing can be discussed. There is no fixed start date for every yard.

Will cleanup fix bare patches?

Clearing the yard helps you see them. Bare grass may need other work, based on its cause. Ask about lawn care or sod if needed.

Do I need to bag everything first?

You can request pickup and raking without doing the cleanup first. Tell us if anything is already bagged or piled.

What does a spring cleanup cost?

Request a quote. Share your yard size, debris and access so we can discuss the work needed.
