The short answer
What is lawn care?
Lawn care is the work that keeps grass growing and the yard neat. It can mean a cut and tidy edges. It can also mean help with thin grass, weeds or hard soil. You do not need every service at once.
Choose the help your lawn needs
We offer the six services below. Your quote sets out which ones you want. This is not one package that every yard must buy.

Thin grass needs a closer look
Thin grass does not always need a whole new lawn. Shade, foot traffic, water, soil and how the grass is cut can all play a part.
Tell us where the trouble is and when you first saw it. Is it one patch near a path? Does it spread across the whole yard? What you have tried is useful too.
More seed, feed or water is not always the answer. Find the likely cause before choosing the work. If a lawn needs a fresh start, sod is one option to discuss.
Cutting height matters
A very short cut can stress the grass. A sharp blade makes a cleaner cut. Taking off too much at once is harder on the lawn than light cuts as it grows.
The right height depends on the grass and its needs. Ask about a cut height for your lawn. The one-third rule is a useful guide: avoid taking off more than a third of the blade in one cut.
A neat edge can help the yard look cared for without cutting all the grass too low.

Check water before adding more
Dry spots do not always mean the whole lawn needs more water. Check whether that patch gets water at all. Look for a blocked spray, a missed corner or water running off.
A puddle is a clue too. Note where it sits and how long it stays. Tell us about it when you request care.
If watering by hose has become a chore, an underground sprinkler system may be worth a look. Its settings still need to suit the lawn.
Weeds and grass share the same space
Weeds can take hold where grass is sparse. Weed control deals with the weeds, but the reason for thin grass still matters.
Share which weeds you see, if you know. If you do not, describe them. Also tell us about any products used on the lawn.
We offer fertilizing and weed control. The plan and care steps depend on the work chosen. Ask what to do before and after the visit, including when people and pets can use treated areas. Do not guess from a past job.
Hard soil and a thick layer of old grass
Aeration makes holes in the soil. It may help when the ground is packed tight. Power raking works on the layer of old plant matter near the surface. They are different jobs.
Not every lawn needs both. Heavy work at the wrong time can put stress on grass. Describe the lawn first so you can discuss which work fits.
Leaves and loose branches are a different kind of mess. A seasonal cleanup may be the right starting point for those.
When an extra hand helps
You may want help because the work takes too much time. You may have a lawn you cannot keep up with. Or you may be stuck with a patch that keeps coming back.
Start with the one thing that bothers you most. You can ask about a single service or several. Let us know if you want to discuss ongoing care. Visit timing and the work included need to be agreed in your quote.

Do you fertilize lawns and treat weeds?
Yes. We offer fertilizing and weed control. Ask which work fits your lawn and what care steps go with it.
Do you offer aeration and power raking?
Yes. Aeration works on the soil. Power raking lifts built-up plant matter. They are not the same job.
Does lawn care include all six services?
Only the services agreed in your quote are included. You can ask for one or more.
Why is my lawn thin?
There can be more than one cause. Share where it is thin, when it changed and how you care for it. We should not guess the cause from one sign.
Should I cut the lawn short to mow less?
A very short cut can stress grass. Ask for a height that suits your lawn and avoid taking off too much at once.
Should I water a brown patch more?
Check the soil and whether water reaches it first. Brown grass alone does not prove that more water is needed.
Can I ask about ongoing lawn care?
Yes. Tell us what help you want and how often you hope to have it. We will confirm options and availability.
How much does lawn care cost?
Request a quote. Tell us the lawn size, its state and the work you want. We do not list a fixed lawn care price.
What if I am not sure which service to choose?
Choose the not-sure option on the quote form. Explain the problem in your own words. That is enough to start.
